About
In October 2025, Pearls and Plates comes to New South Wales for the very first time, marking the finale of a three-part national dining series hosted by two of Australia's most respected pearling families, the Liddons of the Abrolhos Islands and the Browns of Pearls of Australia (Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and Broken Bay Pearl Farm).
Held at Broken Bay Pearl Farm on the Hawkesbury River, this intimate riverside event invites guests to step into the world of Australian pearl farming while savouring a six-course shared menu curated by celebrated WA chef Guy Jeffreys. Inspired by the region's wild beauty and local harvest, each course is paired with premium Australian wines.
The experience begins at the Shellar Door in Mooney Mooney, where guests board a boat and cruise past working oyster and pearl leases to reach a secluded waterfront homestead, a location few will ever see.
Optional pre-event pearl masterclasses offer a rare, hands-on insight into Australia's three native pearl species, farmed by the Liddon and Brown families in the Abrolhos, Kimberley and Broken Bay.
With only two dates, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect with people, produce and place in one of NSW's most beautiful hidden settings.
