The Fungi Feastival is a month-long celebration of all things fungi from Eden to Batemans Bay!
There is so much to learn from Fungi, and a range of fun activities will be available throughout the festival.
The science of fungi. There is so much to choose from: Fungi forays and workshops with fungi econolgist Alison Pouliot; "Fungi - the Web of Life" by aclaimed British biologist, Dr. Merlin Sheldrake, (with more of world-famous fungi hunter and photographers Stephen Axfords amazing time lapse photos), forays designed for citizen scientists with Pam O'Sullivan and Marita Smith; workshops with fungi specialists from Western Sydney University on fungi in agriculture and forestry, and workshops on growing gourmet mushrooms and truffles.
Cooking and eating with fungi. Join a lesson on how to cook mushrooms and truffles or a truffle hunt; try a mushroom or truffle dish at participating cafes and restaurants; experience an amazing mushroom or truffle dinner at a restaurant; or purchase gourmet mushrooms and truffles to cook your meal.
The art of fungi. Fungi photography, movies, pottery, and five exhibitions. So many options.
Children's activities during the holidays.
Entry Cost
All tickets $0 - Workshops and science elements vary from $0 to $275 per person. Events in arts and food are similar price, but all vary. Some events are free. Check their website for details.
