About the Event
About
Celebrate the vibrant living culture of the Pantjikali, Wanyuparlku, Wilyakali and Malyangapa people at the Mutawintji Cultural Festival, held in the spectacular Mutawintji National Park near Broken Hill, NSW.
This two-day event showcases the rich traditions of Aboriginal dance, music, language, storytelling, and art in one of Australia's most culturally significant landscapes.
Set among ancient red cliffs and sacred rock art sites, the festival offers visitors a chance to connect deeply with Aboriginal culture through performances, guided tours, bush tucker tastings, workshops and cultural conversations. The program is family-friendly and features both traditional and contemporary Aboriginal arts.
A highlight of the festival is the opportunity to experience corroborees under the stars — a powerful and moving expression of cultural continuity. Local Aboriginal guides lead interpretive walks through country, sharing stories and songlines passed down through generations.
Camping is available nearby, and all visitors are encouraged to respect and celebrate this special place.
Don't miss this unforgettable cultural experience in the heart of the NSW Outback. Bookings essential.
