About

Sexual health services

Sexual health is all about taking care of yourself when you're sexually active.

Our services

Our service provides confidential and culturally appropriate accessible sexual health care for First Nations people and other at-risk groups.

We can help with:

  • sexually transmissible infection (STI) screening and treatment
  • emergency contraception
  • contraception
  • pap smear screening
  • condoms and lube
  • contact tracing and partner notification
  • education on sexual and reproductive health.

Visit the Queensland Health Sexual Health website for more information.

STI Screening

Most people don’t have any symptoms of STIs and that is why it is important to have a yearly test. If you have any STI signs such as a discharge, rash, itch, pain, bleeding and or sores, then please contact our service.

It is important to test and treat people as soon as possible as untreated STIs can lead to complications with fertility and general health.

You can find more information on STI's and Sexual Health on the Young Deadly Free website.

Contact tracing

If you have an STI, all your partners need to be treated and have a test. If your partners do not have a test, then you will get the infection again and need to be treated again.

Either you can tell your partners or the clinic can. If the clinic contacts your partners, your name is not mentioned.

Check out the Better to Know website for more information.
