Grapes of Mirth—Townsville is six hours of comedy, wine, music, and good times. After one of the most legendary Grapes of Mirth gigs ever, we're heading back to the tropics this October – this time taking over the lush lawns of The Ville. In partnership with NAFA, Grapes of Mirth is bringing a monster line-up of Australia's most beloved and critically acclaimed comedians to Townsville. Celia Pacquola – Host of Thank God You're Here, HYBPA? regular, and three-time Melbourne Comedy Festival Best Show nominee. She's bringing the best of times to the Troppo stage. Rhys Nicholson – Host of RuPaul Down Under and winner of the 2022 Best Show at MICF. They'll tell more jokes in 20 minutes than should legally be allowed. Mel Buttle – QLD comedy royalty, Director's Choice winner at MICF, Internet's favourite mum, and always best-on-ground at a Grapes show. Gillian Cosgriff – 2023 Best Show winner at MICF, bringing her signature musical brilliance to the tropics. Brett Blake – With his glorious mullet and off-the-chain energy, Brett was nominated for Best Show in 2025 at MICF and is guaranteed to tear it up. Merrick Watts – Grapes of Mirth founder, MC, and Head Clown – holding the whole chaotic circus together. Entry Cost All tickets $85 - This is an 18+ event because there are comedians involved, and well because there are comedians involved. Strictly No BYO food or beverage.
