Ride, Learn and Progress After School!
Head for the Hills offers an After School Mountain Bike Skills program for young riders keen to try mountain biking or develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Designed for riders aged 10-14, this winter program (Terms 2 and 3) runs at the Craigburn Farm MTB Trails on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
With no prior experience required, this program is perfect for beginners, helping them build confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy the thrill of mountain biking!
Throughout the term, riders will develop bike handling and balance, control and trail reading as well as braking and cornering technique. Learn trail etiquette for shared-use networks plus risk assessment and management skills.
Participants must be able to ride confidently on two wheels with good control.
