Australian Poetry Slam SA Heat 3

The nation-wide search for the people's poet is on. Who will become the next Australian Poetry Slam Champion as audiences vote in events around the country? Join Spoken Word SA in giving the bullhorn back to the bards. The word nerds. The oral storytellers. The quiet thoughtful ones. Dreamers, lovers and those just searching for a damn meaningful life. Elect a poet – A National Slambassador for 2025. The prize? They tour Austral-Asia sharing their creative thoughts and inspiring people everywhere to speak their own poetry. Poets: share an original poem for two minutes on the mic. Audience: listen, cheer, vote with scorecards in this national celebration of spoken-word. Doors open at 6.30PM and poets sign up at the door on the night. There is a maximum of 20 poets per heat, so make sure to get there on time! Poems must be two minutes or under, no props, no costumes, just you and the power of your words. Two poets chosen by the audience at each of our five South Australian heats will head to the SA Final. At the final, our winner and runner-up will be off to Nationals at the Sydney Opera House! Entry Cost All tickets $15
