About
Launched as part of the Permission to Trespass winter events in Wynyard Tasmania, "Moonlight Stories" provides a stunning visual platform for winter projections of artwork on the Table Cape lighthouse. It is part of the Sensing Table Cape experience.
Moonlight represents an important cultural touchstone to the local north west tribe, the tommeginne who travelled seasonally across the north west, including Table Cape. The full moon represented a time for Tommeginner people to gather, share food, spiritual experiences, stories, and knowledge around fire light. Moonlight Stories provides us an opportunity to connect to a similar experience, an opportunity to learn, and share stories and knowledge around a different kind of light, but still under moonlight again.
This year, we welcome Tasmanian artist Alex Moss with his astonishing visual projection - " Inner Light". Drawn from his conversations and workshops with local communities in Table Cape and Wynyard, Alex has created a visual and auditory feast.
