Matsumura Blues Festival Inc presents an exciting new live music Jailhouse Concert Series at the historic 1888 Kew Court House. The second concert in the series will feature three-piece band, Sonorous, who will showcase exceptional musical brilliance and artistry.
Hailing from Taupo, New Zealand, Sonorous are renowned for their high-energy performances and raw blues rock sound. This dynamic show band has rapidly made a name for themselves, captivating audiences with their high-octane live shows. Their sound is defined by passionate vocals, exceptional guitar artistry and outstanding drumming, which will astound you for a band so young (the band members are 18 years old). Sonorous is not wasting any time, having already made their mark at major festivals including New Zealand's prestigious Summer Concert and Mitchell Creek Rock n Blues Festival, who have invited them back to play again in 2025.
Sonorous has shared a stage with legendary acts such as Simple Minds, Collective Soul, Texas, Psuedo Echo and NZ blues legend, Grant Haua. They attracted a standing ovation at the 2024 Matsumura Blues Festival in Mildura. So come along and witness what Sonorous have to offer at the start of what will be an epic and exponential rise for these talented young musicians.
