About
Melbourne music tastemakers Fem Belling, Ben Langdon and DJ Mz Rizk have amassed a program of live acts to light up Kew Court House. Boroondara Arts has platformed these noted cultural curators to present a season of exceptional live music experiences.
Wednesday nights is the hot ticket at Kew Court House for indie music lovers. The eight-week series of independent acts put together by Ben Langdon launches with Ally Row at a kick-off event followed by double bills from Yours, Georgina and Riley Catherall, and then in May Tyra Lewis and The Voice 2024 finalist SKYE.
Global Thursdays beckon world music aficionados with a roster by DJ Mz Rizk. The culture visionary has announced Noriko, AFROSPACE Interchange and a legend of the scene Ajak Kwai. DJ Rizk gives her natural knack for genre-fluid storytelling to the program.
Jazz enthusiasts can mark Friday evenings for live listening. As well as her own return to the much-loved music venue Fem Belling has lined up a weekly treat that includes Mina Yu, the Remco Keijzer Quartet, and her own new project Hormesis.
The Kew Court House Live season launches on 30 April with a kick-off event featuring the velvety harmonies of the Tablelands Folk Festival Songwriting Contest winner, the folk-rock/alt-country duo Ally Row supported by Peter Westwood.
The box office and Arts Bar will be open from 7pm.
