About the Event
About
Printmaking originated in China during the Han Dynasty in 206 B.C. to 220 A.D. The earliest known print was a woodblock print on silk. Marysia teaches various forms of this ancient art. Classes follow school terms, costs vary per term. Students need to enrol with full payment paid prior to the start date.
This term will again be for Relief printmaking, which means working with linoleum plates, advanced designs, reduction lino and combining multiple plates to introduce numerous colours. We are going to stay in Relief printmaking method for Term 2.
Additional to linocut will be woodcut, similar, but different in tradition and some techniques.
Beginners are most welcome.
