About
'Water Morality' is a multisensory installation by Orquidea Collective members HibiZ cuZ, Jin, and Porobibi. Centred on the Pacific Ocean's impact on creativity, cross-cultural discourse, and social architecture, the project features two key works: Mahikai Ark and Arafura Domain.
Mahikai Ark is a five-channel sound sculpture inspired by traditional outrigger canoes, with wooden speaker boxes and a sail of Tapa cloth, symbolising the legacy of Pacific traditions. Arafura Domain incorporates reclaimed wood and clay to tell Oceanic stories through contemporary techniques, reconnecting cultural roots.
Together, the works explore water as a unifying force, connecting histories, identities, and hope.
