Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra

Prom Recitals are excited to bring the internationally renowned Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra to Foster. The group are direct from Germany, and this is part of their Australian tour. The Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1960 and is dedicated to the entire chamber orchestra literature, from the Baroque to the present day. Members are between 12 and 20 years old, and are all accomplished, highly decorated prize winners of national and international competitions. Under the direction of Prof. Michael Böttcher since 2023, this exceptional ensemble will perform an ambitious repertoire spanning from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary works. The dynamic program features music by Henry Purcell, Edward Elgar, Bernard Herrmann, Michael Nyman, and Pjotr Tschaikowsky. Entry Cost Adult $60 Child $10
